Corona Virus Update

The following information has been published on Gosport Council website:

Due to the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic and the latest advice given out by the Government, the management of Gosport Borough Council allotments sites will be adjusted.

There will be no plot inspections taking place across the sites until further notice and no non cultivation or terminations letters will be sent out to tenants during this period.

We urge all our tenants to do what they can to their plots to help reduce the growth of weeds and grasses during this time that may overwhelm the plot if you are unable to visit for extended periods.

As a council we will face restrictions over the coming weeks as to what we are capable of doing in terms of maintenance and repairs that might be needed.

We will endeavour to try and rectify these issues when we are able to address.

GBC have taken the decision not to provide skips during this period.

Water to all sites will be switched on soon as practically possible

Due to government advice around the Corona Virus, we will be closing all allotment site stores with immediate effect until further notice, but on a positive note in these trying times for us all
